ACH Connectors
PURPOSE:
To introduce the ACH crimp style wire-to-board and wire-to-wire connector series.
PROBLEM:
Many applications require a wire-to-board connector that is sub-miniature in size and that offers engineers design flexibility.
SCRIPT:
The ACH series wire-to-board connectors are on a 1.2mm (.047”) pitch, molded in a 94V0 PBT, SMT compatible, polarized and have a secure friction locking feature when mated. These low profile connectors have a height of only 1.4mm (.055”) and a width of 4.3mm (.169”).
SCRIPT:
The ACH crimp style wire-to-board connector series is available in 2, 3 and 4 circuits and will accept either a wire range of 28AWG to 30AWG. The 2 and 3 circuit connectors are rated at 2.0 amp AC/DC using a 28AWG wire, have a rating of 50 volts AC/DC and operate in a temperature range of -25 degrees centigrade to +85 degrees centigrade. The 4 circuit connector is rated at 1.5 amp AC/DC using a 28AWG wire, has a rating of 50 volts AC/DC and operates in a temperature range of -25 degrees centigrade to +85 degrees centigrade.
SCRIPT:
The ACH contacts which are designed to accommodate either a 28AWG or 30AWG are gold plated over a nickel –undercoated copper alloy base material.
SCRIPT:
The ACH crimp style wire-to-board connectors offer design flexibility. Uniquely constructed, these connectors feature a socket half that is mated with the header from the vertical direction, while the wires come out of the socket connector in the horizontal direction. Removing the socket connector from the header is also in a vertical direction.
This construction allows the placement of the header anywhere on the printed circuit board. This flexibility enables components to be placed all around the connector header without causing any connector mating concerns.

Most waterproof connectors are large in size, difficult to handle in a production environment and expensive. Meeting customer needs for a small form factor waterproof connector that is easy to handle and cost effective has long been a challenge.
The JWPF series meets the need for a small form factor waterproof connector. The JWPF series has an IP67 waterproof rating per IEC 60529. The JWPF series is on a 2.0mm pitch (contact to contact) and 4.0mm row to row spacing for double row versions. The overall size when mated is just 30.2mm for the wire to wire series and 21.0m for the wire to PCB version.
The JWPF wire to wire waterproof connector is available in 2,3,4,5,6 and 8 positions. These waterproof connectors deliver a cost effective solution by utilizing a brass tin plated tab contact and a copper alloy tin plated receptacle contact. The contact system has a 3 amp rating and handles 26-22 AWG wires.
Available in 2, 3 and 4 positions, the JWPF wire to board waterproof connectors deliver a similar cost effective solution by utilizing a phosphor bronze tin plated receptacle contact. As with the wire to wire version the wire to board version contact system has a 3 amp rating and handles 26-22 AWG wires. Shrouded headers utilize a copper alloy tin plated contact and are available in a vertical or top entry, style and designed for general use as well as with resin coated (“potted”) PC boards. The header is also designed to accept the wire to wire type JWPF connector receptacle for maximum flexibility.

The WPJ series, crimp-style connectors are available for both wire-to-board and wire-to-wire applications. This compact connector can be used for both waterproof and non-waterproof applications. Waterproof applications use a rubber seal and have a grade seven ingress protection rating. Both waterproof and non-waterproof receptacles use the same header. The connector series is on a 5.0mm (..197”) pitch and molded in RoHS compliant 94V-0 material. For applications requiring the use of more than one connector of the same position count there are three different keying patterns to prevent mis-insertion. The connector has a secure inner housing locking feature, and is rated at 7A AC/DC (using 18AWG) at 300V. The series has an operating temperature range of -25C to +85C and is offered in 2 and 3 circuits.
The WPJ contacts are designed to accommodate a wire range of 18AWG to 22AWG with either standard or thin insulation wire types . The contacts are tin-plated over a copper alloy base material. To help prevent damage and increase reliability, the contacts are designed to withstand unintentional and irregular insertion methods.
Molded in glass-filled PBT rated 94V-0 material, the polarized WPJ series housings incorporate a secure inner locking device to prevent accidental disconnection due to routing of wires or vibration and are offered in 3 different keying patterns. Available in 2 and 3 circuits, the locking mechanism is designed for a secure and stable connection ideal for high vibration applications. An audible click is heard when mating the receptacle housing assembly with the mating half. The wire-to-wire version is offered in a free-hanging configuration. The waterproof versions are graded IPX7.

The PUD series, crimp-style connector is available for wire-to-board applications. This dual row, positive locking connector series is on a 2.0mm (.079”) pitch and molded in RoHS compliant 94V-0 material. The low insertion force connector is offered from 8 to 40 even numbered circuits and is rated at 3A AC/DC (using 22 AWG) at 250V. The series has an operating temperature range of -25C to +85C including temperature rise when applying an electrical current. Other than the natural color, the series is offered in black, blue and red to aid users in manufacturing and assembly.
The PUD contacts are designed to accommodate a wire range of 22 AWG to 28 AWG using UL1007 (UL1061 for 22 AWG) insulation. The contacts are tin-plated over a copper alloy base material. The leaf spring structure of the contact is designed to help prevent deformation due to unexpected forces.
Molded in PBT rated 94V-0 material, the polarized PUD series housings incorporate a finger-friendly design for ease of mating and un-mating. Available in 8 to 40 circuits, the locking mechanism is designed for a secure and stable connection ideal for high vibration applications. The housing receptacles are keyed to prevent accidental reverse mating or to a header without the same number of circuits. An audible click is heard when mating the receptacle housing assembly with the mating header.
